HOLDING ONTO IVORY

The title of this painting ‘ Holding onto Ivory ‘ speaks for itself. I’m inspired by my passion for wild life fighting for their territory, and for life against extinction. The world can be a cruel place, and it’s only through education that things will change and many trusts and charities are continuing their had work to achieve that in time.

This style of painting requires great attention to technique and form. I design the shape from my imagination, plan the colours, and eventually finish off with many layers of over-glazing with thin paint.  I usually change my mind and create different versions of the painting before I’m satisfied!
