WINGED LOVERS

I was inspired to paint this picture after my amazing trip to New Zealand . This was a place where I saw only black swans, and of course many other fantastic mind blowing sights. I decided to put black and white together with love, as the world should be.

This style of painting requires great attention to technique and form. I design the shape from my imagination, plan the colours, and eventually finish off with many layers of over-glazing with thin paint.  I usually change my mind and create different versions of the painting before I’m satisfied!
